Support and frequently asked questions.
How do I scan my cube?
Tap the camera button on the Configure screen. Hold each face inside the on-screen guide and keep the cube still — the app captures automatically once the reading settles, and the overlay shows the colour it reads on every sticker as you go. Follow the on-screen prompt for which way to turn the cube between faces.
It read a sticker wrong. Now what?
Tap that sticker to repaint it. This works on the 3D cube and on the flat net view, and there is undo and redo throughout. Stickers the model was least sure about are highlighted so you know where to look first. If a face is giving you trouble, you can also paint the whole cube by hand and skip the camera.
Why is my 5×5 solution so long?
Because it is honest search output rather than a memorised algorithm set. A 3×3 solves in about 20 moves. A 4×4 averages around 130 and a 5×5 around 400, because larger cubes are solved by reduction — centres, then edge pairing, then the 3×3 finish, plus the parity cases that only appear on even cubes. Every move is still shown one at a time with the layer animating.
Which cubes are supported?
3×3, 4×4 and 5×5.
The app says my cube is impossible
That means the colours as entered cannot be reached by turning a real cube — usually one or two stickers are still wrong. Check the highlighted stickers first, and make sure each colour appears the right number of times; the palette shows a count for each.
Does it need an account or an internet connection?
Neither. Everything runs on your iPhone, offline.
